The old Norton Utilities for DOS used to have utilities called "wipefile" and "wipe disk"... there was no recovery (way to undelete) either one. You might try defragmenting the hard drive after you delete the files... that might do it... but not sure.

A question of my own that maybe someone would be kind enough to assist with. I'm using Netscape Navigator Gold 3.0, but want to upgrade to Netscape Communicator 4.5... WITHOUT loosing my bookmarks, e-mail folders, plug-ins, etc.. Does anyone know if and how this can be done? I was going to just download the new version from Netscape's website and then stopped when I realized I'd probably lose everything.

TIA,

Marty
