But that's ass-backwards. First of all, if you're a small business owner, are you going to hire additional workers just because you have an additional $10K in profits? I'm going to assume no. You'll do it because you expect additional demand for your products. And if you're not making money because the economy's bad, you're not paying taxes anyway.
