While re-reading some of the old articles in the inflation/deflation debate, I found this intriguing
sentence, in an article written by Jude Wanniski, in
Sept/Oct. 2001 entitled: "The Deflation Monster."

"It was by trial and error that civilization wound up
with gold, partially because it is rare, constituting
only 5 parts per billion of the earths's crust, while silver
is roughly 50 parts per billion."

If that statement is correct, then logically, the proper
gold/silver ratio is 1 to 10, indicating that at this
juncture, silver is way below it's true value of about
$ 89 per oz.

Just some food for thought.
