Could it be that Siemens has set up two straw man 'competitors' to squeeze a bit more productivity out of their relationship with NN and Telcom ??

My sources at NN said that customers who dealt with SIEMENS and NN(in Great Britain) were more interested in purchasing from NN and using their support system rather than through Siemens. Siemens was having 'miserable' sales(or so I was told), so this was to put them on an equal footing. As I understood it, the Siemens Newbridge company is just a jointly sponsered resller. Newbridge probably made some deal to make sure Siemens gets in on British Sales and In return they get more exposure on the continent.
