MAKE NORTON ANTIVIRUS A NETSCAPE PLUG-IN

"As you're probably aware, most viruses travel over phone lines these
days. You can protect your PC against infection more effectively by
making Norton AntiVirus 5.0 a plug-in for your Netscape Navigator
browser.

Launch the dialog box Plug Into Netscape Navigator from the Windows
Start Menu. Check the box next to Use Norton AntiVirus As A Netscape
Plugin. Then check those MIME-type files in the box below that you
want AntiVirus to scan.

It is recommended that you select them all, since MIME is the format
that executable files are converted into to be attached to or included
in e-mails. Executable attachments are the favorite ways that the bad
guys spread viruses these days.

This plug-in works with Navigator versions 4.x. It doesn't work with
Internet Explorer, which hasn't exposed a similar application
interface for third-party developers. The Norton AntiVirus plug-in
will be activated the next time you launch Navigator."
