Here are the numbers that matter : Household bankruptcies at record high (despite low interest rates) : economictimes.indiatimes.com Consumer debt at record highs (so we know where the spending is coming from) : washingtonpost.com Manufacturing job losses at record highs (3.3 million jobs in the last 6 years; 2.8 million in the last 3 years) uswa.org So, as a result, the REAL unemployment numbers are much higher than the phony 5.6% touted by the government (and everytime it goes higher, they leave out another batch of unemployed folks -- as if they don't matter)
