I could not agree more.

I am practicing my jig.

Slowly, but surely we are winning the war against SmartMedia.

The IBM/Sony alliance could breath some life into the Memory Stick,
but as Eli said, if it really takes off it could consume available production of chipsets by a variety of producers, including SanDisk.

I still am not a believer in a product with design-ins only by one manufacturer. I have been quite faithful to Sony including my recent VAIO desktop purchase, but they are just asking too much.

CompactFlash will be the common currency for removable, non-volatile memory and SanDisk will hopefully be minting most of this currency.
I still believe that MMC is the biggest threat to CompactFlash.

All IMHO.
