And for the doubters: It isn't too hard to spin a scenario that gets AAPL to $50 in a year or two. One of the keys is remembering that it is Apple Computer, not Macintosh Computer. The Mac is just one part of the co., albeit the dominant one. 1998 might be the biggest year for software sales in Apple's history. The NCs could be a hit. And they could even start a separate, PC/Rhapsody division. If the revenues stay at six-eight billion and they are making a standard profit on such, they'll be valued much higher, like the other box makers. Here's an exercise: Run the figures to see what Apple would be valued at if they sold for 1x sales, 1.5x sales, and 2x sales.

Right now of course it is highly speculative,
