That "very limited exploration into the reality of SL" revealed some shocking information. I won't go into it all - just enough to establish that I wouldn't want my Campaign HQ anyway near SL without at least distancing myself from it publicly & unequivocally.
The reporter "stumbled" into a terrorist website near the Edwards HQ. Porn is by far the most popular item on SL. Some of the porn available on SL is among the most obscene I have heard of available on the internet.
There's this site:
RapeLay is a disturbing rape simulator.... [They] didn't
make any effort to hide the nature of their latest "work".
RapeLay's creepy cover shows defiant schoolgirl Aoi trying
to protect her tearful little sister from two menacing,
outstretched hands. SPOILER: SHE FAILS.....
[A]ll three women choose to run somewhere secluded where
it's easy to pin them down, tear off their clothes, and
anally rape them. There are other options too.....
Sadly, to reprint those options, I would risk a TOU violation from SI....
"Sex is commonplace, as is prostitution... Critics have
raised concerns about activities that would be illegal in
the real world, such as the brothel that features rape
fantasies, or people who indulge in sex acts using avatars
that resemble children. But Second Life aficionados
cherish the anything-goes ethic."....
Online virtual game Second Life allows you to purchase a
rape. Options include "hold victim," "rape victim" and
"get raped." Gawker reports that a sexual assault costs
220 Lindens (the Second Life currency) which, from what I
can tell, is less than a dollar.
Do I really need to go on any further?
