PSI: Porta Systems Corporation and BMS Corporation Sign Alliance Agreement

(Porta) (AMEX:PSI) today announced that its Operations Support Systems (OSS) Division and Business Management Systems Corporation (BMS), leading suppliers of integrated OSS solutions for the telecommunications industry, announced a strategic alliance whereby they will cooperate in the areas of technology sharing, product integration and joint marketing. Under the agreement, Porta Systems will have access to provide BMS' next generation integrated OSS suite for fault repair, provisioning, assignment, network inventory, SLA management, workflow, and work force management for the telecommunications industry worldwide. The combined efforts of the companies will enable communications service providers to improve their operations capabilities by facilitating automated order management from initial customer contact through the service provisioning and fault management processes.
