Some weeks ago, Kevin Libby, from IR, emailed to numerous shareholders the reason(s) for delaying earnings and he did state in part that it was to give additional time for the sale of some non core assets(key is the "s") so that accurate guidance could be given(accurate guidance and Psinet in the same sentence??? "Heavens!!, what will the street say?")
Of course, I'm stating this from memory, so I may be a little off, but reason for bringing it up is one might infer that we will see asset(s) sold, as in more than one, before the earnings report.
Always have to be careful not to read too much into things like that(just as DK has warned many times before regarding his posts, but at this point we're so hungry for news of any sort, let's go ahead and read into it), but let's assume we get another sale.
What do you think? Will it finally be Inter.net? Is anyone even interested in 600k international subscribers? Will the problems going on with European telecoms prohibit them at this point? Will depressed share prices of U.S. telecoms prevent them? Could we get 250mill? 500mill for them?
If they do sell it outright(which I think they would, IPO would not only be death but would be a painful death) it may just happen in the next 9 days, or maybe in the next 4 weeks, or maybe not at all.
