J.D. Winteregg is not going to beat House Speaker John A. Boehner in the Ohio Republican primary on May 6. But Winteregg just made a campaign video that will live in infamy well beyond his inevitable primary loss.



Winteregg released the video Sunday -- a play on well-known Cialis ads designed to sell erectile dysfunction drugs.

"Your electile dysfunction? It could be a question of blood flow. Sometimes, when a politician has been in D.C. too long, it goes to his head, and he just can't seem to get the job done," says the narrator of the video. The ad goes on: "Used on a daily basis, Winteregg in Congress will help you every time the moment is right, to have your voice heard at the federal level."

Winteregg's campaign did not immediately respond to a question about how much money he is spending on the ad -- or whether it is on the air or just running online. It's doubtful he has much money to put behind the spot: Winteregg only had about $1,600 in his campaign account at the end of 2013.

On his Web site, Winteregg's biography says he "teaches at a local high school, and he also does adjunct work at a nearby university."
