Another question - what were in the documents that were lost? (or destroyed)

It appears that they were all copies of the Millenium report. This was Clarke's analysis of what the Government did about sabotage attempts during the 2000 New Year. It is classified, "codeword," the highest restriction we admit we have.

It has never been released, but leaks say that it is quite critical of the Clinton Administration's efforts. And made recommendations that were never put in place. I think it will now be released in some form because of this.
