airspace around LA and San Diego to be nerve-wracking

I have a tie for my two worst small airplane trips. One was years ago when I worked as a consultant for the Phoenix Indian Hospital, and I flew to a clinic on one of the reservations. We had to "buzz" the landing strip first to get the cows to move so we could land.

Another "memorable" flight was into the San Juan Island during a severe rainstorm. I think I was "green" when I got off the plane.

The clerk in our line didn't speak English.....My disgust was not well disguised.

I agree with your thoughts. IMO California has become too politically correct. I recently voted by absentee ballot for the upcoming election, and the ballot was hard to read since my ballot was in English and Spanish. Right now California ballots are printed in English, Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean and Tagalog. How many other states offer so many choices?!?
