Reddys and Insiders own nearly 53 % of ALSC. They won't sell for $ 14, when they know it is worth at least $ 20. Institutions own about 26 %. If someone were to buy all the Institutional Ownership and then some, they could force the issue. There is lot motivation for an aggressive buyer though, since ALSC is sitting on lot of goodies, everything except good chip sales and Chip profits. So this buyer needs to merge ALSC with a company that has lot of chip sales and low profits, but hurting for cash. After the merger the buyer could split the company into the Chip piece, UMC/BRCM piece, and cash piece and try to sell off just the chip piece to a bigger vendor - things like this are done all the time in Wall Street!
