ztect, Humbly and historically report that if you read some of the early posts on VXTK you will see that a group of posters used their substantial creative and sarcastic talents to make fun of VXTK. When they discovered that Mr. Hite was fairly easy to provoke they increased their "having fun" at VXTK and Mr. Hite's expense. It was like watching teenagers corner one of their classmates in the schoolyard - take his hat, steal his books... you know the routine. Anyway they managed to make the thread pretty much useless for those of us that were trying to do some DD and have some meaningful dialogue. So you can see some of the residual effect. Josef, either has a short term memory problem or hasn't let you know that he was affiliated with the group of court jesters. Now, for some reason he's set his chair, table and perpetually full beer mug in the middle of two threads I'm aware of and makes curmudgeonly comments. I've actually grown sort of fond of him but would never tell him that. (I've also heard a rumor that he was the character consultant for Sesame Street's character "Oscar the Grouch"). As for VXTK's software I\|Nova it is my understanding that it has been designed by Mr. Price over a number of years in anticipation of the problems due to arise from legacy software, the resultant spaghetti coding and lost or undocumented source code. It sounds like it consists of modules that can simulate the original program without having to rely on the line by line code. Y2K is a highly fortuitous event that makes the I\|Nova software not only more attractive but a necessity with drop dead dates for people with millions of lines of unfixable code. Once in place, I\|Nova makes changes much easier (use an existing or design a new module and hook it in). Once I\|Nova is in place it becomes the software that runs the company, therefor the company has ongoing leasing/consulting/servicing contracts beyond the original replacement of the legacy code. Supposedly the rather substantial number of man hours and ongoing maintenance necessary for the old programs is considerably reduced and can immediately justify the cost of I\|Nova. Read the teaming agreements, it appears that more and more people who have legitimate software contracts see that VXTK has something to offer and maybe they do. RAJ
