Well.......when you put it in the context that you did.......I believe that it would be appropriate.

I don't think ANY American would condone using nuclear weapons other than in the capacity of defending the US, our forces abroad, our friends, and our allies should a madman decide that he wishes to eliminate all of the above.

Hundreds of thousands of Americans and her allies would die before we did.
