Interesting rumour, Francoise!
- Does this mean to another, ACA-independent lab? ...
- How do you mean the term, "also" in the sentence?
;)

Take a multi-page, informative tour of "Introduction to Diamonds," incl. their formation etc., at this SUF site:
southernera.com

- Kimberlite ...Visualize a shotgun blase from the centre of the earth and the stovepipe-like structure it would create -- that's what kimberlite pipes usually look like. They occur in clusters of 3-50 or more. The largest pipe is usually the most productive...

'Diamond' - Name came from Greek adamas which means "invincible", much like our English word adamant -- the diamond gives way to nothing...

Yellow diamonds result from the chemical substitution of nitrogen atoms for some carbon atoms, or by the clustering of nitrogen atoms.
Blue results from the presence of boron. The more boron there is, the deeper the blue.
Green is a result of exposure to radiation during the formation of the diamond, perhaps due to proximity to uranium materials.
High temperatures could then modify some of these primary colours.
Pink results from the presence of manganese.
