Because I have been not employed and have lived in the gig economy since September 1993 I can see where the productivity has gone. Amazing I left my last corporate job September 1993, Never looked back never worked for anybody since. I believe whatever productivity is gained by technology is lost by too many people wasting their extra time on social media, youtube ect looking at the wrong things not expanding their horizons or getting more educated or widening their skill set..
