Simmons has said that if S. Arbia has peaked, then categorically the world has peaked. But in fact he suspects it peaked long ago -- and is artificially forcing output, reducing the lifespan of its wells.

so... that means they don't peak and decline, they continue to gush and then stop?

As one of our nation's first television babies, I protest. This is not very good writing.

Well (he says, trying to impersonate a conspiracy theorist) this is the fact that Cheney discovered only recently that caused him to up the stakes...
