Here's more of that Reitzes comment reported in Barron's: We do not believe that the filing represents “new news.” However, we believe there will be a “tug-of-war” for shares near-term as investors balance solid fundamentals for upcoming products with concerns over options backdating, restatements & the potential impact on Steve Jobs (incl. roles at both AAPL & Pixar). Jobs is key to the Apple story. We believe new products are still the key into ‘07. We still expect new iPod nanos to be unveiled in Sept. & new video iPods in Oct./Nov. perhaps with new iTunes movie services. We also believe a compelling cell phone is in the works, but may not be unveiled until ‘07.
