Today's Statists also like the notion of "science" in human affairs -- it helps them pretend they know what the heck they are doing. That is why they hand out so many "Political Science" degrees. When Galambos decided to teach Social Science as a "Science" back in the 60's, the first thing he did was define his terms. Because that is what you do in a science. His degree in Astrophysics demanded that approach.
