A very staged picture IMO. Reality on the ground is the Sunni military vehicles are travelling interspersed with fleeing Iraqis & target wise smart weapons require spotters to hit moving vehicles. With respect to your strategy, the Sunni Commanders knows there are no Wart Hogs in Iraq & nothing the Iraqis could put in the air with any such capabilities that would be piloted by an experienced combat pilot. There are no American assists in Country. B-52's would kill civilians in any attempt to break up the run to Baghdad. & that requires orders for a CIC. Best option, only option is to blow bridges & mine roads. I hope Iraq has some Combat Engineering Companies.
