This week's Dick Davis Digest has a recommendation of Techne in it - BIOI competitor - noting TECH "is a rare example of a biotech company that actually makes money in addition to products . . . " During the last conference call BIOI management mentioned Techne and the Genzyme acquisition - and noted that at the price that was paid TECH sharesholders may see some dilution in earnings. Techne was a recommendation of "21 Forward" by Richard Lees - I've heard of Lees but not his newsletter. I'm going to stick around with BIOI - although with the recent strength in the dollar we may get clipped with earnings disappointments in Europe again due to exchange rates. Then again, with all the Clinton problems the recent trend of the dollar has been down so maybe that will continue. Joe
