SEMIHH,

If INTC is struggling as you say and competition from IBM and CPQ is about to bring Intel to its knees, then why is the FTC after them? Check out just how much Intel is struggling in this article:

(thanks Barry )

Pay close attention to the last paragraph on competition:

<Still, the FTC may view Intel's growing power as sufficient cause for alarm.
"The lack of viable competition is what paves the way for strong-arm tactics," said Mercury Research analyst Feibus. "If you have a healthy, competitive industry, the possibility of muscling out your competition goes away.">

SK

PS. Any ideas on why Apple, Motorola and IBM failed to topple Intel with their PowerPC? How about the reason why CPQ, SGI and the rest of the RISC consortium failed in the early 90's to provide a new MPU alternative? Where you an Intel bull then?
