I'm not sure I agree completely with your premise that SLB shareholders will dump the RIG shares they get in this merger. I have to assume that most people who purchased SLB stock understood the Sedco segment of the business. With RIG stock languishing, especially when compared to the rest of the sector, I'm not so sure that there will be this massive dumping. Of course there will be those who don't want to own another company but I have a feeling that there will be plenty who want to own this, IMO, under valued asset.

Like you, I am very interested to see how all this pans out but from everything I can see, the 'new' RIG is going to be a major force, if not 'THE force' in the deep water drilling industry.

Thanks for your opinions on the subject.
