Yes, I've heard of Acer and AST, Midwest Micro, no. That why I said "to my knowledge". I'm sorry I wasn't aware of that they were Cyrix OEM's. Do they also sell Intel boxes?

Still, what do you think the market share of the above three giants is vs. IBM, Dell, Gate, Compac ------>? They are not exacally the Coke and Pepsi of the business.

Cyrix and AMD need at least a few of the *major* OEM's to mount any kind of an assault on the consumer or corporate markets. If they can't sell to the box makers, they will never build the volume to support the marketing required for brand recognition. It certainly won't happen with Midwest Micro.
