ZIP standard in every Compaq Presario, in every KINKOS store. It is the graphics industry standard for transporting small files. The music industry has made ZIP and JAZ standard equipment in many digital recording systems and sampling units. The ZIP and JAZ are both considered standards in the music industry and no other removeable media has been included in such devices, than those made by IOMEGA.
No Syquests, no sonys, etc.

This is a BETA vs. VHS war. And just as VHS won that war, strictly due to the market share it enjoyed [Sony's Beta was clearly a better product], IOMEGA'S ZIP, JAZ and now CLIK will win. They have terrific product awareness. Last night I saw an excellent national TV ad by Iomega, called "ZIP BUILT-IN." This further establishes their dominance.

With Compaq including ZIP as standard equipment it sends a message to the entire PC industry that ZIP is the clear winner. Floppy disks will stay around only as long as their is no clear replacement. But for the first time, there IS a replacement. Remember how quickly the 5 1/4 drives disappeared? The 3 1/2 will take longer. But on my personal PC, I replaced the 2nd floppy with a second ZIP for making copies. Now I have a stack of 6 3 1/2 floppy drives in a box. That will be the trend.

CLIK is not the saviour of IOMEGA. ZIP is. CLIK is the secret weapon that will send IOMEGA back to the 30's when the first big increase in revenues is shown on a quarterly, due to CLIK.

The near-term stock price your "short du jour" keeps posting is quickly being adjusted. Suggest you cover at 6 1/2 while you can.

. . . 8.40 . . .
