Much of the contents of the bill were proposed by Republicans, including the mandate. Yeah. And while the bill was pretty mediocre in the end, and the process was not as transparent as Obama promised, I actually think it was the most transparent process, at least for one that dragged on for so long, in the history of any bill in Congress. -Z
