Gosh, John, I said I would leave, since you requested, but here is another message from you, so I'll respond to this one from within your cave and then return to my cave and, respond to any further messages from you, by posting answers to them in the Ask God thread (my cave, as you call it).

>>I hope that the mind of John Galt can be influenced by a single book...<<
Yes, I said that and believe it is a rational thing to hope for, if the book referred to is truthful. Note, I did NOT say I want you or anyone else to be influenced by only one book. I DID say, I hope you can be influenced by a single book.

There is a difference between what I said and the way you understood it.

Yes, I and my Christian friends are greatly influenced by the one book, the Bible, but none of us would say that is the only book that influences us, John.

I was once influenced by reading Ayn Rand's books. After reading them, I got a job in a lumber mill. The owner of the lumber mill, believe it or not, thought I worked too hard. Somehow, from reading Ayn Rand's books I got the impression that, whatever I do, I should do it as well and energetically as possible.

Now, that may or may not be in Rand's books, but - I've found out since then, that it is in the Bible.

Bye, again, until you invite me back.

John
