News Release 99-04 (EEL-V)

Eaglecrest Explorations Ltd. reported today the company has retained a new team of technical advisors to direct a forthcoming exploration program at the company's San Simon gold project in Bolivia.

The company said the technical team includes George Cavey, P.Geo., Art C. Freeze, P.Geo., and Barry W. Smee, Ph.D., P.Geo..

Mr. Cavey is a consultant to several Manex Group companies, of which Eaglecrest is part. As founder and principal of Orequest Consultants Ltd., he has directed programs on base and precious metal targets in a wide variety of geological environments around the world. He serves on the Council of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC, and also as the BC Director of the Canadian Council of Professional Geoscientists.

As manager of the San Simon project, Art Freeze brings to Eaglecrest more than 25 years of field experience including, more recently, five years in South America where he directed exploration and development programs and evaluated projects for major and junior resource companies.

A noted geochemist, Dr. Barry Smee has been retained by Eaglecrest particularly to advise on sampling techniques and sample preparation with emphasis on analysis of coarse gold known to be present at the San Simon project. Dr. Smee has enjoyed a distinguished career spanning 30 years during which time he has directed or consulted on mining projects in Africa, South and Central America, Ireland, the United States and Canada.

The company said on-site field evaluation currently is underway and will be followed by an aggressive exploration and development program. Initial efforts are directed toward gaining further understanding of gold deposition/geochemistry in the region.
