Kanakaris Communications, Inc. to Focus on NetBooks Digital Content Delivery and OPCON Module System; Closes Sales to Pacific Bell and FBI
MALIBU, Calif., June 24 /PR Newswire/ -- Kanakaris Communications, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: KANA - news) has fully integrated its operations and is focusing on its NetBooks.com digital content delivery web site and its proprietary OPCON Module System as focal points of its strategic development.
''The focus of the Company is the ergonomic use of content in the environment of the Internet. From a hardware perspective, we have created the OPCON Module System to create strategic command centers for computer operations. From a software utilization standpoint, we have innovated with marketing of NetBooks.com, our 100% digital delivery mechanism for authors,'' stated CEO Alex Kanakaris.
Since May, 1998, the Company closed new orders for the Desience OPCON Module System, proprietary hardware which ergonomically houses high end computer operations systems, with Pacific Bell, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Merck & Co. and six other clients.
At the same time, the Company has reached a distribution agreement with Futurenet (News- June 22) to begin ramping up sales of the new NetBooks.com Internet content product which enables authors to publish their books online.

Branch Lotspeich, President of the Company's Desience operations, announced new contracts for OPCON Module Systems received since May 1, 1998 which total over $250,000.
Pacific Bell: With the comprehensive support of the Kanakaris Desience team, Pacific Bell has been able to relocate and expand its OPCON Module System from Anaheim to San Diego.
F.B.I.: The Federal Bureau of Investigation, which has a pre-existing client relationship with the Kanakaris Desience division, ordered a new, mid- sized command center for their site in the midwest.
Diamond Link: This division of Mitsubishi Electronics provides customized communications solutions on a global scale. They have chosen custom colors for a basic OPCON Command Center with room for significant future expansion.
Data Access: This is an addition to the OPCON Command Center in the World Trade Center of Instinet, a New York brokerage.
Aerospace: A reconfiguration of an existing OPCON site.
Additional OPCON orders include: Defense CEETA, National Data Corporation [NYSE:NDC - news], Merck & Co., University of Alaska.
