Sure Mishedlo, it's the victim's fault. "The industry refused to make nothing but overpriced, underperforming, unstable, low capacity memory that we designed. So we had to sue them for continuing to make the same products they'd been producing for the last 5 years"

I'll say it again, even a minor setback for Rambus in any one of a half dozen lawsuits will send it back into the teens - Rambus has sued or threatened just about every possible customer or partner they have. They haven't just burned their bridges behind themselves - they've used tactical nuclear weapons. One problem in one lawsuit and the game is over for Rambus.

In a way it's a shame. Rambus could have developed a very profitable, long term business. Now, even if they encounter temporary success with their bushwack style lawsuits, in a year or two the industry will have designed around any patents Rambus manages to establish and no serious company will ever have anything to do with Rambus again. They've turned themselves into the lepers of the industry.
