No need for party recriminations or mea culpas BCB. Human beings are not perfect, BUT when the lion's share of Repubs are compared with that of Dems, the former always outshine the latter. It's a matter of character. The majority of conservative Americans have inherent personal character while most Liberals are cynical to the core--they are incapable of relating to a code of honor for conducting their lives. Cream will always rise to the top, so it's only a matter of time before those who most fervently cherish the USA will again be in charge of preserving and guiding the US ship of state.
