Cruttenden Roth Slates Growth Stock Conference; Small Cap Companies To
Court Investors

SANTA BARBARA, Calif., Sept. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- They say Santa Barbara
is for lovers - but lovers of emerging growth stock companies? That's
the hope of a growing list of such companies that will convene here for
the Sixth Annual Cruttenden Roth Growth Stock Conference. The event will
be held October 6-7 at the Four Seasons Biltmore Hotel in Santa Barbara.

With the picturesque California coastline in the background, romancing
Wall Street institutional investors and portfolio managers will be the
objective as each small cap company vies for financial affection.

Don't expect romantic walks on the beach says Cruttenden Conference
Chairman H.D. Thoreau. ``This conference allows sophisticated investors
the opportunity to scrutinize companies, ask tough questions of
management, and get hands-on experience with new products.

The Santa Barbara conference is one of four investor conferences that
Cruttenden Roth, which specializes in emerging growth companies, will
hold this year. Over 300 people are expected to attend.

``There are few forums where management from emerging growth companies
can have direct access to influential investors,'' says Thoreau. ``We
use our knowledge of the market to bring together people who normally
don't get a chance to meet face-to-face and exchange ideas. This event
helps fill a gap in the investment community by providing smaller
capitalized companies access to analysts and institutional money
managers from throughout the U.S.''

The conference format will allow each company a 20-minute presentation,
followed by private breakout sessions where investors and analysts will
have direct access to company principals for an up-close view and
review.

Conference co-sponsors include Imperial Bank, a California specialty
business bank; Stradling, Yocca, Carlson & Rauth, a leading regional law
firm; and Nida & Maloney, Santa Barbara-based attorneys at law.
Supporting sponsors include Merrill Corporation, a leading provider of
corporate, legal and financial printing; and PR Newswire, the
international press relations wire service.

Conference attendance is by invitation to portfolio managers,
institutional investors, professional stock analysts, CR clients,
venture capitalists, and the financial press. For more information
contact Cruttenden Roth's conference desk at (714) 757-5786.
