UOL VCampus(TM) Enters New Markets With Payback Training Systems
MCLEAN, Va., June 3 /PRNewswire/ -- UOL Publishing, Inc. (Nasdaq: UOLP), announced today that Payback Training Systems will use the web-based VCampus(TM) distance learning platform to provide training to its clients in the service industries, including the supermarket, foodservice, general retail, and hospitality sectors.
Payback, a leading developer of technology-based training, including computer-based training solutions for large employee populations, is using the unlimited availability and reach of the VCampus to expand its services, which already include CBT and stand-up training.

UOL, through its VCampus system, is the number one provider of administrative, hosting and delivery systems for web-based education. The centralized hosting of VCampus within the UOL server farm means there is no requirement for specialized programming or software and no need for dedicated client servers to be operational. It is designed to deliver millions of courses and is totally scaleable. In addition, all VCampus courses are run in a standard format, so that users need learn only one navigation style.
Wade said the VCampus administrative monitoring tools, central hosting, user-friendly Courseware Construction Set(R) and reasonable course fees were all factors in the company's decision to go with the VCampus.

Payback provides training to such clients as Hilton Hotels and the American Hotel & Motel Association. On the food store side, they deliver to Giant Eagle, Price Chopper and Ahold, among others.
Payback initially will be using courses from more than 220 titles in the VCampus courseware library. UOL's entire content library, including proprietary courses, is one of the largest in the industry, with a total of more than 1,100 courses.
