There was an article in the Houston Chronicle today entitled, "Hard Times for Houston -- Another '86-style Depression in the Offing for Oil Patch -- Maybe Worse." The article ends by saying, "Fasten your seatbelts. We're heading for another crash. But those who are well prepared may survive and live to see a brighter day." The authors of the article think that it could bottom out in mid 1999 or it could take years.
