Now lets not start the 1950 McCarthysm all over again.. If we are to detain and question anyone who is not a citizen then we will be going back to the era where the government was asking: "Are you or have you ever been a member of the Communist party?"!! Civil liberties should not be impacted at any cost.

One thing that should be noted is that, a vast majority of Moslems have absolutely no clue what they are following. The majority of non-Arab Moslems have absolutely no clue what the Islamic religion is all about! They read Koran - which is in Arabic - without knowing what it says! And I am sure if they come to know what it truly says they will simply throw the book out the window.

Then you have a country like Iran, where the majority of Moslems have absolutely no clue what Koran says! They have this illusion that the words of Koran (read in Arabic without knowing the meaning of what they are reading) is sort of like putting a good spell on themselves! they are simply being manipulated in the name of God.

The goal should be to educate the Moslems about their own religion and what it truly says, and to sanitize it. But I think this sanitization process is already being done by those who in a politically correct manner are distancing themselves from the teaching of Koran by creating this illusion that there are fundamentalist Moslems (those who are following teaching of Korans word-by-word and to the last letter), and then there are non-fundamentalist more moderate Moselms (those who selectively sanitize Koran teachings and throw them out and are trying very hard to only keep the part that is close to humanistic values).
