Jamie, did you notice how the market makers try to drive the faint hearts away? The B/A was dropped to 27/28.75 after 2 PM when the previous trade was at 29. Since there was hardly any trading for an hour after that, I think they were probing for sellers until about 3:30. Then came a big buying binge - about 45 k shares in the last 20-30 minutes alone - with not much rise on the bid. The MM's must have a negotiated order in the afternoon and they looked for cheaper buys by lowering the bid before they filled-in the big order. These kind of things never happen on NYSE.
I think STII is bottomed out. I look for stabilization in the low to mid 30's. Unless there is some news, it may stay there for a while.
Do you know if, by any chance, TRW may not proceed with Odyssey?
