TI and Qualcomm Chipsets

Slacker,

<< TI is showcasing a variety of chips at CTIA...but I thought this comment was the most interesting. It sounds like they could be announcing some design wins for their W-CDMA chipset. >>

I noticed that this morning. That is a nice PR piece from TI. They are covering a lot of bases. I was looking for something comparable from Qualcomm. Still looking.

I have been assuming that Qualcomm would use Atlanta as a launchpad for its MSM7000 series. I suspect that the redesigned website is a backdrop for that.

I had hoped to be in Atlanta Monday and Tuesday, but had to divert. I'd really like to have toured Qualcomm's and TI's booths as well as Samsung's and Nokia's (which would have been all I would have had time for).

I was a bit disappointed with what came out of CeBIT. I'm looking to see if CTIA kicks it up a notch. Presumably their will be some good 1xEV-DO and DV stuff, as well as EDGE, and I'm wondering if there is anything left on the WCDMA side.
