The Workstyle Server provides real-time wireless access to critical corporate information including e-mail, calendar and contacts using any wireless Internet-ready device. ``With six million customers in more than 20 states, we have mobile employees that are dependent on information residing on the company network to keep up with the demands of providing leading-edge broadband video, voice and data services,'' said Travis Crittenden, manager of web administration for Cox Communications. ``The mobility enabled by Workstyle Server has become a lifeline to these employees as they move around their buildings, cities and even the country to serve our customers and manage our networks.''
The Workstyle Server is an important new enterprise communications tool that enables secure, real-time access to Microsoft® Exchange Server 5.5-based corporate e-mail, calendar and contacts to mobile workers via wireless Internet devices.
Cox Communications selected Workstyle Server based on the product's ability to easily integrate wireless access across Microsoft messaging platforms, while supporting a variety of devices, browsers and protocols. The company intends to broadly provision its mobile workforce with this wireless data access.
``Deployments of the Workstyle Server at large-scale enterprises, such as Cox Communications, have resulted in enthusiastic feedback about the product's performance, ease of installation and deployment, and provides high user value,'' said Eric Schultz, chairman and CEO of Wireless Knowledge. ``We are experiencing strong need in the enterprise market for Workstyle Server based on this segment's growing awareness and demand for mobile technologies, and our ability to deliver a fully-featured application that facilitates productivity by providing immediate mobile access to highly-relevant and critical networked corporate data.''
