I recommended to the Kerry folks many months ago to immediately appoint James Carville as the lead campaign manager...Mary Beth Cahill should have been a sr. advisor BUT she and Bob Shrum had never run races against Karl Rove and his dirty tricksters - these guys are ruthless (we know what they did to McCain)...In fact, Carville is the only hard hitting Guru the Democrats have that has actually WON 2 presidential races...He was an informal advisor to Kerry but was not deeply involved with the campaign this year. -s2@HistoryCanRepeatItself.com
