I was thinking in terms of individual psychology. Anyone who has
pursued a goal for such a length of time has to become somewhat
obsessed with reaching it. Especially when the pursuit is so
public. The ability to say "I've found it." must be a tremendous
satisfaction. There are few things more satsifying than having been
faced with failure while your peers succeed to then succeed
yourself. I could be wrong, of course, because I don't know RT
except through a couple of phone calls. I would expect though
that someone who is simply in a play to manipulate the stock so
he can get in an out with as many of the stockholders dollars
as possible is someone who is not a long time pursuer of a goal.
And there are lots of those around. Dogged persistence is no
guarantee of success but it helps. And I would have no objection
to a stroke of genuis to help it along.
