Look at the deals that AOL has: N2K, Preview Travel, etc. mostly companies that have not been established for a long time, and their survival is questionable at best. One thing Steve Case is good at is to restructure the deals such that the "deferred" revenues can be included in the current quarter, and then, in the next quarter that previously accounted deferred revenues are included again with the pretense of restatements and adjustments. Remember that Steve Case did not commit that there won't be anymore adjustment to their future financials. The above case (no pun intended) happened to Q3 shifted to Q4/1997. Finally, Q1/1998 IS UNAUDITED. SAY WHATEVER, WHO CAN VERIFY? THE INCREASE OF MEMBERSHIP IS ALSO UNVERIFIED.
