Shearer November 24, 2008 According to sources close to America's president-elect, Barack Obama is planning to pursue an ambitious peace plan in the Middle East involving: 1. Israel's complete withdrawal from the West Bank to its pre-1967 borders. 2. Restoration of the Golan Heights to Syria. 3. The return of East Jerusalem to the Palestinians and its establishment as the capital of the Palestinian state. 4. The unconditional and total surrender of all claims to the so-called Temple Mount (including, presumably, the Wailing Wall). 5. The recognition of the Palestinians "Right of Return."
