Oh I agree with you. I think the feds are talking inflation-fight but ready to do anything other than repeat the errors of 1930-32. But any countries that keep their currencies high against the dollar will choke off their own exports. Furthermore, you don't have to leave the U.S. to have a good time spending money--although there will never be anything again in my lifetime quite like those $1.35 meals including wine in the Paris of the 1950s. But in the meantime American cooking and wines are so much better than they used to be that it's not bad to have dollars to spend here.

Are you not at all worried about banks being overextended and losing money in bad loans and bankruptcies?

REITs I have never studied. Templeton was recommending them a year or two ago.

Well! Today ended with the divergence intact. Bonds up/stocks down.
