<<What really got me was Wigglesworth's rebuke of my haiku form for lack of rhyme when none is called for>>

But that's precisely my point, Brother Lawrence. :-) Dan Quayle also complained that Lloyd Bentsen made an "uncalled for" comment "You ain't no Ted (sic) Kennedy." Say something 'uncalled for' and it sticks. :-)

Regarding the preposition, did you see Doonesbury today? Zonker got a call from Buckingham Palace: "May we speak with Lord Zonker, please?" and answered "This is him. He. Whomever."

BTW, one person asked me why I wrote 'learning from Lawrence is like trying to take a drink from a fire hose' and I had to explain to him: Have you ever had the misfortune, I mean, fortune of asking Lawrence what time it was? By the time, he's done with the answer, not only were you late for your appointment, you would have also got enough info to order 5 naked puts on the company that makes the watch he was wearing. :-)
