There are ways, Z. The problem is that the current auto industry is not constructed in a way that makes that possible. Or, at least, easily. I'd like to see things split into chassis builders and coach companies. Where there are a few who build the running components like engines, transmissions and such, and then a much larger pool of builder who do the bodies and the rest. Granted, the chassis builders would likely be to big to fail, but the odds of them going TU are a lot smaller. They supply the fundamentals that everyone else depends on. And, if it is done in a standard manner, then if one goes up, there are ready second sources.
