The odds are that many in the media are much more liberal than the American mainstream even though most of them are probably right in the middle of the herd on economic matters. Who wants to suffer for the great American novel, really?<g>

Most of them circulate in social circles that are fashionably against organized religion or even religious belief and where the average abortion rate per sexually active female is much higher than the general population. From the increasingly one-sided daily battles between the struggling heterosexual aesthetic and the triumphal homosexual aesthetic in the New York Times, the odds are also that many of them spend too much time and money on the care and feeding of their already well-defined masculine and feminine sides -- God's image liberally retouched to show off the shadows of their minds.<g>
