Your PowerPC theory is wrong. First, IBM has started placing copper
on PowerPC chips, which will reduce up to 30% of current cost and
the products will be available and applied on Mac by the end of the
year. Second, Rhapsody is ported on PowerPC, then Intel's. Apple
cannot turn profits without sufficient PowerPC supply at least another
one-two years. I don't see any instant significant revenues from
Rhapsody at least another year, and by that time, Rhapsody probably is
ported on both types of motherboards. Third, IBM/Motorola always
played lower profile than Intel. There is no need to argue about
which one is superior. As long as Apple could put products on markets
with competitive prices and without chips supply problem, then the
revenues will naturally drive up.
